100th Anniversary Historical Committee - Special Announcement

Since the consolidation of Mount Diablo Lodge (1995) and Clayton Valley Saint John's Lodge, we are operating on Mount Diablo Lodges Charter. They were instituted in 1914 which means the 100 year anniversary will be in May of 2013. There has been no history written about Mount Diablo. There was a 25 year history written by Saint John's Lodge (1978) and one for Clayton Valley Lodge (1980) which gives us some valuable information to work with. We need information for Mount Diablo Lodge from 1914 to 1995 information from Saint John's Lodge from 1978 to 1985 and information from Clayton Lodge from 1980 to 1995. After 1995 we need information about Diablo Valley Lodge #448. This information may only come from reading thru the old minute books and records. All the work I have done so far has been very interesting. I am sure if you got involved you would enjoy this work also. All the Masters' names have been collected:

Mount Diablo Lodge
80 Past Masters

Saint John's Lodge
32 Past Masters

Clayton Valley Lodge
30 Past Masters

CV - SJ Lodge
10 Past Masters

Diablo Valley Lodge
10 Past Masters so far

The start of each lodge has been recorded for editing. The work on this project could and should involve many members of the present lodge who were previous members of the above named lodges. Feed me all the information you can, especially those from Mount Diablo Lodge. Come forth Brethren and help make the "100 Year Book" a memorable addition to the history of Masonry in the City of Concord and California Masonry in general.
