Master's Message |
Brethren:
Those of you who where unable to attend our installation, you missed a good time. We are all installed now and working hard on getting ready for what I hope will be a full calendar of degrees this year. Along that line of thought, if you know a good man who might benefit from the Masonic way of life, talk to him about it. There is a difference between coercing and asking if the man had ever thought of, been interested in, or had ever heard of Freemasonry. Lodges around the state are doing pretty well bringing in new members. So let us do our part. If for whatever reason you do not feel comfortable introducing someone to the craft, please feel free to call me or one of your other officers. We will be more than glad enough to help.
Our Sweethearts dinner is on February 17th. Please bring a sweetheart and come have dinner with us. Reservations are requested to help us prepare the proper quantity. Mary Carlson is the chef for the evening which just about guarantees a great meal.
Brothers, my wish for the coming year and beyond is to tighten the bonds between all of our concordant bodies and the communities we reside in. This means involvement. This means more of us who are not regularly involved to become more active. Just a suggestion, please try and do one thing a month. Anything that would put you in the company of our brothers and sisters. Anything counts, such as, Job’s, Rainbow, DeMolay, Eastern Star, Shrine, Scottish Rite, York Rite or any of the Blue Lodges. Getting your car washed by one of the girls or boys at one of their car washes this summer counts. Helping at the science fair that Bob Bernsdorf is the chairman of counts. Helping at one of our work parties at our lodge counts.
Lastly, from all of your Officers to all who attended and helped at our last installation, thank you. To those who were unable to make it, mark on your calendar the first Saturday in January 2007 for our next installation.
