Here it is June and half of the Masonic year is gone.
I have
tried a couple of events to give the membership something to participate
in besides degrees and stated meetings. They didn’t work too well.
We only
had nine at the “Film Night”. We had a fair showing at our “Annual Breakfast”. We made $155.00 after expenses. $90.00 was outright donations from several Brothers. The “Kid’s ID” program at Walnut Creek, a small crew made it possible to put on both events.
Chris Lamar
recieved his second degree on May 24th. Georgio Konstantaras will give
back his second degree proficiency on June 28th so he will be ready for
the traveling degree to Columbia on August 25th.
Please
plan to attend this degree. Some of us will be staying overnight. The
degree will be 2:00pm and there will be a dinner that evening. If you
plan to have dinner with us and stay over night contact our Junior Warden,
Kenn Owen. (kenn@bigfoot.com). It takes 16 brothers to put on a third
degree so we need at least that many to commit to go on the trip. All
Officers are expected to attend this 3rd degree. PLEASE HELP.
We will
also be having a discussion on events that have been happening in the
Lodge that effect all the Membership.
Our special
events so far have not been well attended. What would you like to see
take place in September? Let me know, I want to do what the members want.
We were thinking about a “Table Lodge”.
Twenty-five
year awards will be presented at the June Stated Meeting. Please attend
to honor these Brothers.
All dinners
served from this point in time will be by donation only, there will be
no set charge. The meal for the Month of June will be Italian Chicken
prepared by Concord Chapter Eastern Star. Please reply by May 31st with
either the Junior Warden or the Secretary.
